Safety Critical Software
GMV has collaborated with Airbus DS in the development of onboard software for the aircraft Eurofighter Typhoon, A400M and for the tanker aircraft A330-MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport) and A330-FSTA (Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft) as part of the Aerial Refuelling Boom System (ARBS).
It has also developed onboard software in collaboration with Airbus Helicopters for the helicopters Tiger HAD (standing for Hélicoptère d'Appui Destruction in French or Support and Destruction Helicopter in English) and NH-90.
It has also developed the Flight Control Computer (FCC) for RPAS ATLANTE, one of the most critical pieces of equipment of the Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS), responsible for the aircraft’s navigation, guidance and control.
The tanker developments were all carried out under standard RTCA/DO-178B, level DAL A, while the flight computer of the RPAS ATLANTE was carried out under standard DO-178B level B.
GMV has also played a key role in the certification of EGNOS SBAS system for civil aviation, fulfilling EASA requirements.
