The popularity of the solutions based on open source or free distribution software has exploded in the last few years due to the extraordinary supply of increasingly mature products and the unwavering support that Public Administrations have shown towards the use of this type of software. Accordingly, GMV decidedly opts to use these solutions as part of its platforms and architectures. To that end, it has commissioned a Center of Excellence in Free Distribution Software. This GMV Center can:

• Analyze the various critical aspects from each package or distribution (i.e. performance, scalability) and select the most suitable products for each project
• Integrate the various solutions in its laboratories and, through diverse testing, ensure the interoperability of the solutions
• Build replicas of platforms implemented by clients with the aim of improving support and maintenance services for those platforms
• Submit new versions and patches to regression testing in order to verify their stability and security
• Manage the in-house training of personnel in associated technologies

 This Center of Excellence is GMV's guarantee that it will provide excellent service to its clients by means of solutions based on free distribution software products.
