The magicSBAS wide area augmentation algorithms have been optimized to provide the best performance in the most demanding conditions, and have been tested in many regions of the world.
The GPS accuracy is typically improved down to the meter, as shown in the following plot obtained in a real test with magicSBAS in South Africa performed in the frame of the SATSA project:
Real time performance of magicSBAS in different regions of the world, including Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, and South Africa can be observed using the web monitors of the permanent testbeds now being operated for R&D purposes.
Different algorithms configurations are available to optimize the performance in different regions. For instance, a specific version of magicSBAS algorithms has been produced to optimize the performance in regions of high ionospheric activity such as South America and Africa. The following figures show the significant performance improvement obtained over Latin America when these algorithms are used instead of the standard algorithms designed for mild ionospheric conditions (e.g., EGNOS like algorithms).
