GMV has a deep interest in the security of all the information under its management, being this information property of GMV; or property of its current or future clients. GMV takes proper measures to protect these assets, taking care of its confidentiality, its integrity and availability. Therefore, GMV Soluciones Globales Internet S.A. has successfully designed, implemented and certified an Information Security Management System (ISMS) for its headquarters at Madrid (since December 2004), Seville and Barcelona (since December 2005), Valladolid (since November 2007) and Valencia (since December 2008), in accordance with the international standard ISO 27001:2005 and its Spanish equivalent standard UNE 71502:2004. This ISMS implements and supports Best Practices in Security described in the SO 27002 standard.
For GMV, guaranteeing its clients continuity of their operations (both GMV’s own and the client’s) in the event of crises or incidents is a priceless asset; it is therefore a factor that runs through all its activities across the board. As evidence of this work and interest GMV Soluciones Globales Internet successfully gained BS 25999 certification from BSI for its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). Further proof came in 2011 with a second, AENOR-brokered certification under the Spanish standard UNE 71599, making GMV the only Spanish company boasting a double certification of its business continuity management activities.
