SIMULATION

Simulation is a fundamental area in the defense environment because it enables validation of new concepts and technologies, and it allows strict, reproducible, repetitive low-cost training management as compared to using real means.
GMV is highly experienced in developing different simulator types, and has positioned itself as an integrator of comprehensive simulation systems, mainly for operational research, and a software subsystem provider for simulation training systems and part task trainers.
Our teams have been involved in designing and developing different simulator types:

  • R&D Simulators which are basically oriented to simulation of new weapon concepts for validating new technologies and designs.

  • Operational Research Simulators that enable real-weapon and new weapon concept testing in different scenarios on real battlefields by recreating different very difficult, if not impossible situations involving real-life expensive testing.  These simulators not only provide a precise modeling of complex weapons systems, such as missiles and torpedoes, and predict their behavior, but they also enable coordination of the different components involved in battlefield simulation.

  • Training Simulators. GMV provides software for integration with aircraft training simulators, radar training simulators and helicopter rotor simulators, including the Eurofighter, CN-235, C-130 Hercules radar training simulators and helicopter rotor simulators.

GMV is involved in different simulation area activities, developing the following technical competencies:

  • Physical and mathematical modeling of complex electromechanical and electronic systems in their operating environment (such as atmosphere models, radioelectric environment models, etc.).

  • Development of simulation software for implementing the above models both for offline and real time operations.

  • Real-time operating systems.

  • Development of real-time simulation software kernels.

  • Simulation analysis tools (such as Monte-Carlo analysis techniques, simulation session storage and playback, statistics techniques, etc.).

  • 4th-Generation Simulation Tools and Languages (such as SIMMOD, SIMSCRIPT, MODSIM, MATLAB/SIMULINK).

  • Operational research techniques.

  • Hardware-in-the-loop design simulation techniques.

  • “What-if” analysis techniques
