Throughout the years, GMV has been involved in designing and developing different automated test benches for electronic parts and equipment. These activities have enabled GMV to gain and build up the knowledge and technology in areas such as data capture and analysis, as well as test sequence preparation and automation.
In this technological tier, Defense area activities have benefited from synergies with our space activities both in the field of automated test bench complex systems, where there is a high overlap with satellite command and control systems, and their test automation, as in the field of on-board equipment and avionics software where technology clearly overlaps with on-board software in the space environment.
Significant examples of our work in the test bench area include the development of test benches for the Capricornio launcher phase-two control unit nozzle and the fly-by-wire flight control system experiment test bench.
GMV has the following technical competencies in this area:
GMV has a broad technological base in the area of avionics software and on-board software for developing comprehensive on-board aerospace industry originated hardware and software systems, including systems engineering, real-time critical software, hardware design, and equipment-avionics integration. This has enabled us to be on Spanish Armed Force Star Programs, such as the Tiger Attack Helicopter and the A400M transport aircraft.
