Internet Day (Madrid, Spain, May 16, 2006[sic])
GMV participated again this year in a seminar organized by the Spanish association of ITC companies, AETIC, during Internet Day (May 16, 2006 [sic]). The title of the seminar was "Electronic ID: New Business Opportunities on the Internet" and Mr. Roberto López, Security Consultant at GMV, was a panel member for "A Proposal of Business Applications for Electronic ID during its implementation process in Spain."
Securmática 2006 (Madrid, April 25-27, 2006)
GMV sponsored the XVII Securmática Conference. The event, organized by SIC magazine, brought together the most relevant actors in the Information Security industry and the services related to the protection of ITC. Ms. Susana Cuevas, Head of Communications and Security at Grupo Antolín, and Mr. Roberto López, Security Consultant at SGI, introduced an innovative and successful case of managed security services developed by SGI for Grupo Antolín.
EMobility 2006 (Madrid, April 4-5, 2006)
eMobility 2006, the IV Mobile and Wireless Communications Technology Conference took place in Madrid last April. This event is regarded as one of the most important networking and specialized venues in the country. Participants include business organizations of sectors with a great interest in mobile and wireless communications technologies.
GMV sponsored the event through the organization of two panels: "Galileo and Intelligent Systems for the Management of Urban Mobility", a panel moderated by Mr. Miguel Ángel Martínez Olagüe, Head of Corporate Development at GMV, and "Mobile Groups: New Applications in Business and Administration Beyond Technology", a panel moderated by Mr. Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, President of GMV Global Solutions Internet S.A. Mr. Luis Mayo, CEO of GMV, also participated as one of the speakers during the conference’s opening session.
II International Conference on Free Distribution Software (Málaga, Spain, February 15-17, 2006)
GMV participated again this year in the II International Conference on Free Distribution Software held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos (conference center) in Málaga. Some of the most important companies of the ITC sector participated in this event, which is organized by the Regional Government of Andalucía [Spain] in collaboration with the Regional Government of Extremadura [Spain]. "Innovation and Freedom" was the theme chosen for the II International Conference. Current trends were discussed, such as research on free distribution software, implementation of free distribution software in public administrations and the legal framework that must regulate its use, as well as expansion plans in the corporate and commercial areas.
Satellite 2006. Washington DC, U.S.A. (February 7-9, 2006)
Satellite is the most important international fair on satellite telecommunications. GMV participated in this year’s edition along 250 other exhibitors, which included the main satellite operators, satellite manufacturers and a large number of companies from the space sector.
During Satellite 2006, GMV introduced several solutions specific to this sector, particularly the hifly® real-time satellite monitoring and control system, the payload configuration tool SmartRings®, the focusSuite® flight dynamics product suite, the flight dynamics product for geostationary satellites, focusGEO®, the viewing tool Visualfocus® and the mission planning system, flexplan®.
GMV’s booth received numerous visits from our main clients and partners in the North American, European and Asian markets, who came to endorse the solid position of GMV products in this sector and its increasing recognition in all markets.
Movilforum 2006 (Spain)
The latest mobile services that can be applied to the business world are introduced each year at the MovilForum Fair, organized by the mobile telephone operator Movistar. The main purpose of this fair is to invigorate the mobile data market by combining the efforts of the operator with development companies to offer mobile solutions to satisfy the needs of attendees.
GMV participated in the V MovilForum Fair and introduced its Moviloc® fleet management service and the FactoríaMóvil® (Mobile Factory) messaging platform.
