In response to: Interview with the expert. How Checker ATM Security was born
Mark Sitkowski [Visitor]
Sounds to me like we have a common aim, and could cooperate. If your product can supervise what software runs on the ATM, and our fraudproof authentication method guarantees that only the owner can access his account, it makes the ATM impenetrable.
In response to: ATM software trends
Mark Sitkowski [Visitor]
Your findings don't surprise me. We offer an ATM authentication method which we call 'fraudproof' and, to date, we have two U.S banks, one Hong Kong and one Australian bank implementing. Although all of the banks which we contacted were very interested in making their ATM's fraudproof, many said that they were satisfied with current security levels. You findings obviously prove that their faith is misplaced.
In response to: Can robots make decisions?
Antonio Ceballos [Visitor]
That is true. Moreover, in some situations, such as deep space missions, relying on an autonomous system may lead to safer operations, since the system can use fresh information from the environment and from its internal state to make decisions by itself, instead of waiting for long round trip delays if the decision loop is closed on Earth.
Certainly, decision making involves the capability of planning. In the case of robots, it must be automated planning. If you mean live/online machine learning, this is yet another step, which means not only autonomy but also the ability to perform better and better a given task.

Interesting Article..! I think we should depend more upon autonomous system in future so as to reduce cost and effort. If we want to make the system more autonomous we should employ Artificial Intelligent techniques for these system. for example we should impart AI planning capability into robots and also machine learning techniques.

The background image is in fact a real view from around 30 km. It was taken by a group of students from ETSEIAT (Terrassa) when conducting an experimental flight with an helium ballon.
